Quarterly Updates

A quarterly newsletter was produced as part of the Fishing News. Within a week, this material was posted on the Inshore Round Up website and an email alert was posted to subscribers to bring headlines to people's attention. Updates covered local activities and initiatives, in addition to wider developments at the national and EU level. Below are some examples of the sort of issues covered by the newsletters.

• updates of new management measures or consultations;
• results of fishery management studies;
• news of new inshore management initiatives;
• activities of fishermen's association's;
• initiatives from other groups and individual fishermen;
• national policy developments and consultation processes - with opportunities for managers and fishermen to get involved; and
• lessons from other EU countries; and
• relevant EU policy developments.
