Profile:
Pernille joined IEEP in August 2009 to lead the Climate Change and Energy Programme. She previously worked at the London Climate Change Agency, the Environmental Change Institute at University of Oxford, and University College London. She has extensive experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of strategies for climate change mitigation in the built environment at city, national and EU levels. Pernille also has an interest in environmental governance both theoretically and practically. She has worked on institutional change and environmental governance in forestry, in particular in relation to "social forestry." She has more practical experience of environmental governance through the planning and implementation of multi-stakeholder stakeholder processes in relation to climate change mitigation. She is interested in the challenges and opportunities to existing practices and identities implied in the transition to low carbon societies. Pernille is also Senior Visiting Research Associate at the Environmental Change Institute, University of Oxford.
